Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor director producer, and vocalist. An attractive, clever and skilled actress, she's a great example to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. Her initial success was enhanced by her appearance on several popular television show. In those shows, she played the evil Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles for the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. She then delivered an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. During this time, she played the lead in several flops in the field such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. small screen roles like Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia did not yield positive results. A recurring role in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland has helped her regain recognition as a prominent actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to ensure she is not a victim of the highly competitive field. While she's been embracing her roots she has not let them limit her as an artist.
