Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift, born 13 December 1989, is an American musician and singer. Her discography includes many kinds of music. The songs she writes, which are frequently influenced by her personal experiences, has received high praise from critics as well as extensive media coverage. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville at the age of 14 to pursue a career as a country singer. In 2004, she signed a songwriting contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and in 2005, a recording deal with Big Machine Records. Self-titled, her debut album that she released in 2006 was her first female artist to be certified platinum in America. Swift's next albums Fearless (2008) & Speak Now (2010) explored the genre of country music. The songs on the latter album "Love Story"" as well as "You Are My Friend" were among the first country songs that reached the top of both the U.S. Pop and All-Genre charts. Red (2012) featured her first Billboard Hot 100 hit, "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together". 1989 (2014) saw her abandon her country image. It was supported by the chart-topping "Shake It On", "Blank Space",and "Bad Blood". Reputation is a hip-hop album with the number-one song "Look What You Did to Me" Me Do", was the result of media attention. Swift quit Big Machine in 2018, and signed in 2018 with Republic Records. In 2019, Swift released Lover (2019) and was followed by Miss Americana (2020), a documentary about her life. In her 2020 albums Folklore and Red, Swift delved into alternative and indie rock. The songs "Cardigan", "Willow" and "Willow," topped the Hot 100. Swift began to re-record her first six albums to resolve an issue with their masters. She launched two albums in 2021: Fearless (Taylor’s Edition) and Red. "All Too Well (10 minute version)" was the longest track to make it to the top of the Hot 100. The album she released in 2022 Midnights and the single "Anti-Hero" broke all-time streaming records. Swift has also directed music videos as well as films including All Too Well: The Short Film (2021), and played supporting roles in others. Swift is among the most well-known musicians of all time. Swift is the highest-rated female artist on Spotify and is the only artist to have five albums with over 1 million copies sold in the US. There are 12 Grammy Awards for Swift, including three Album of the Year win nominations and an Emmy Award and 39 Billboard Music Awards. Additionally, she has 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been included in such rankings as Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time; Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists; Forbes Celebrity 100; and Billboard's 100 Greatest of All Time Artists. Honored with titles such as Artist of the Decade and Woman of the Decade, Swift is a vocal advocate for the rights of artists as well as women's empowerment.
